Nose surgery
The surgical plan is made individually for your own structure and goals. The result shows once the last of the swelling has gone; this takes at least a year, sometimes up to two years.

External form, internal structure, facial balance, and breathing are always assessed together at Tiia Pihlamaa's consultation, since they all affect one another.
Overview
Nasal surgery may address external shape, internal support, or both. Planning considers skin, bone and cartilage, breathing, previous injury or surgery, and overall facial proportions.
Procedures and assessment
The surgical plan is made individually for your own structure and goals. The result shows once the last of the swelling has gone; this takes at least a year, sometimes up to two years.
Breathing symptoms and internal nasal structures are always assessed as part of the whole. The aim of surgery is always a beautiful nose that breathes well.
A previously operated nose requires especially careful assessment of tissues, scarring, and existing support. Revision surgery is always more demanding than earlier operations, and the results are less certain.
Together we discuss your goals and the available methods, and make a surgical plan. Photographs support the discussion but cannot predict or guarantee a result. The final shape of the nose takes at least a year to settle, often longer. The result is always individual and true to you.
