Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most often about Breasts. The answers are general information and do not replace a personal assessment at plastic surgeon Tiia Pihlamaa's consultation.
Breasts are part of the body as a whole, yet at the same time they are deeply connected to a woman's own body image and self-esteem. I worked for more than 15 years at a university hospital with patients who had breast cancer or congenital breast deformities. This experience has significantly shaped the way I plan and perform breast surgery: I pay particular attention to anatomy and tissue characteristics, without forgetting wishes related to appearance.
In my current work I focus especially on surgery that improves the shape of the breasts. My aim is always a natural and balanced result that matches the proportions of your body and your wishes.
Below I answer the most common questions about breast surgery. These answers provide general information and do not replace a personal appointment and assessment.
